Room 04 of 06 · distant thunder, adjustable
Storm shelter, lofi for sleeping
For people who sleep better with weather: heavy rain, wind and soft, distant thunder over slow, sheltered lofi. The thunder rolls, it never cracks, and you can switch it off.
About this rain
Some people find a far-off storm the coziest sound of all. This room is for them: heavier rain, low wind and slow, rolling thunder that arrives every 20 to 60 seconds, at random.
The thunder in the mixer is real, recorded distant thunder. I picked only the soft, rolling rolls and left out the sharp cracks. If a rumble ever wakes you, turn the Thunder slider to zero and keep the rain. The other five rooms have no thunder at all.
The music is the calm end of Eye of the Storm, Sands of Time and Sea of Stars 2: shelters, lighthouses and quiet harbours.

Quick answers
Is the thunder loud?
It is kept low, with the sharp crack filtered off, and you control the level with a slider. It is off in every other room.
Is this safe for kids or pets?
Keep any sleep sound at a low level and away from a baby’s cot. If a child or pet is sensitive to thunder, pick a thunder-free room.
Is it real thunder?
Yes. It is cut from a field recording of a spring storm, and the soft, distant rolls are played one at a time at random moments. It is meant to be a gentle storm.
