Rain on the window, lofi for sleeping
Quiet lofi for the sound of rain tapping a windowpane: soft, individual drops over a steady wash, with slow city-night music underneath. Gentle, thunder-free and instrumental.
About this rain
Rain on glass is the most detailed rain sound there is. Each drop makes its own small tap, so your ear can follow the rhythm without ever being surprised by it. That makes it a good choice if you like to hear the rain, rather than have it fade into a hiss.
The playlist leans on the quiet end of the City Nights records: late-hour piano, soft pads and slow beats with plenty of room between the notes. Nothing sudden, nothing bright, no vocals.
The “Rain on the Window” preset in the mixer layers a mid-level rain wash with window ticks, a little wind and a low hum, and it starts with the thunder off.

Quick answers
Is this a real recording of rain on a window?
Yes, the rain is real. The window layer is a field recording of rain against a window, mixed with a rain wash, and looped without a seam. The music is Purrple Cat’s original lofi.
Will there be thunder?
No. Thunder is off in this preset. You can add distant thunder in the mixer if you like it.
How long is the playlist?
See the track count above. For a fixed length, use the 1, 2, 3 or 8 hour mixes.
